    Fuel sender unit.

Will seems I have a fuel sender unit problem . My 86 cluster worked ok but wasn't the greatest an when I went obd1 an b series I needed a 89 cluster an fuel an temp where not working. Just swapped another 89 gauge an temp works an gas does as well. But when I get going it started dancing . When I stop its like a spring an then shows the reading. Going to do some testing.

Low light works but goes off an on when fuel gets low.

But I'm going to get a sender unit regardless for a piece a mind. I have every sensor on this thing replaced anyway lol.

Where can I get one? Any interchangeable ones fit. I know there a bitch to find. Or Honda don't sell em no more. Who has replaced one recently ?

Thanks a bunch. Seems no one has replaced one since I could not find a thread on the issue like mine. Just diagnosis type if threads is about it.

I'm thinking the fuel pump hanger is not grounded well, maybe a corroded (-) terminal on the plug

I was going to say it could be the grounds on the gauges. When I was messing with my cluster once, I had this behavior on the temp and fuel gauges. Getting the ground good and tight fixed it. If it's the grounds in the cluster, both fuel and temp gauges will freak out. But if it's just your fuel gauge, probably your sender.

Seems to be a sensor. Going to test that once I get my new pump. If all checks ok sender is is INOPERABLE . So I'm going to check here at Honda since I work for the company. An see what can be done.
