    Clutch replacement

My clutch is just about to go out on my 81 hatch.

I'm not the most mechanical guy around. So when I go to take it to get replaced what other things do I need to make sure gets replaced while the mechanics doing the clutch?

When you get a clutch kit, you should get a clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. You probably want to replace the rear main seal while you're in there, since it's behind the flywheel. And you'll want to make sure the flywheel is resurfaced. Those are all basics though, your mechanic should pretty much know all that already.

Thanks! I knew all that stuff but I wanted to make sure while he was in there and had stuff apart if there wasnt anything else that should be addressed that might go unnoticed. I appreciate the response!

    Sounds like everything's covered.
If you wanted to be SUPER picky you might see about new axle seals, since your trans will be drained and he'll have to pop your axles out anyhow (plus they're pretty cheap and easy to put in).
