So the last few days I hear a thump when I hit a bump.I took the wheel off and checked and couldn't find anything. It's the front wheel on the passengers side, anyone have an idea what it could be.Only started after I put my snow tires on.

What wheels are those snow tires on? Sway bar end link bushings all good?
I got snows on all four wheels, put it up on ramps tonight and took a pry bar and started checking .Can't find anything, lower strut fork to lower control arm has a little but not much.I'm thinking it might be the strut but couldn't see anything.Did find that I have a small gas leak under one strap that I have to fix.How do I check upper ball joint, don't see a way to get a pry bar on that.
with the car lifted suspension free shake the wheel up and down/side to side to feel for looseness in the suspension to check the lower ball joint lift up under tire with a pry bar if there is movement you should feel some sort of clunk
Did that last night legend ,pushed on the fender and jacked it up and tried to move the wheel up and down side to side.got a little side to side but just a little.Do u think it could be the strut.
Seems the noise began when the different wheels were put on, what kind of wheels?
Where did you jack the car from? You feel it in steering wheel?
Sure its not exhaust pipe loose from jacking it up and binding it against rear contol arms?

No the strut is not leaking snooze,200door the wheels are the ones in my signature. And I jacked it on the frame behind the front wheel.Yeah the noise only came after I put the snows on but can't find any connection to that.Gonna try to look at the gas leak this weekend if it's not to cold out,it's wet behind the one strap so don't know how hard it will be to get the strap of.
well know it makes a noise sometimes when i shift gears and let out the clutch,i think it's the upper ball joint .got two more days til Christmas break, then I'm gonna try and fix it.I don't have a garage so i have to work out doors and it's dark when i get home.
was the car lowerd?
No I'm not lowered, but it's weird that I get a noise sometimes when I let out the clutch when changing gears.I'm pretty sure it's a ball joint by the way it clunks when I hit a bump, can't think of what else it could be.
blown shock or sway bar bushing
Well i change the control arm/ball joint today and it's a little better. The old one had the bolt seized to the sleeve so that might have something to do with it.I'm gonna replace the sway bar end links next, hopefully that will fix it.I don't think the shock is blown.
You should put the other tires back on, and see if it solves it. Maybe there is something in the tire.
Well I talked to a mechanic and he doesn't think it's anything serious ,So when it gets warmer I'm gonna replace the sway bar bushings and the radius rod bushings. Will get new upper ball joints when I switch to prelude arms.
Make sure your radius arm nuts are tight. They can loosen up.
Also when you do the tire shake check make sure one tire is up off the ground and otherside is not.

Yeah when I checked it only the side I was checking was off the ground.
You can access the gas tank from under the rear seat. There are two round plates you pull off and access the sender , hoses and fuel pump.
Yeah I know that man thanks,I'm hoping the seal-all holds til it gets warmer so I can fix it properlly.
Well I changed the radius rod bushings, sway bar bushings and end links. It tightened up the front end a lot,but now I have a vibration at 100.I also noticed the radius rod on the passengers side is adjusted shorter than drivers side, but I can't see any reason for this.nothing seems bent so I don't know why it is shorter, any one have any ideas .
Tire balance or tire/rim. Issues are the common vibration causers at particular speeds.
Radius length difference...check the gap between the tire and fender on both sides, wheels turned streight. Big differences mean castor may be out, radius rods are main adjustment point for caster.
Before you change anything check the toe, that also would cause difference in gap but normally would be obvious visually if toe were that far out.
Tricky sometimes, every action (adjustment) can cause a re-actionputs something else out of adjustment.
Balance and alignment time.

Yeah the difference in rod length and also some one put camber adjusters on the front of both upper control arms too, have no idea why they did this. There is nothing bent nor frame damage so don't know why it is like this,I adjusted the one tire in a little and it drives better but when it hits a bump the steering wheel twitches in my hand.Guess I need to get an alignment.
