    Learning to Pin-stripe

Some of you guys may have seen my posts on facebook, but ill post some of my work and progress here regarding pin-striping and painting various items. The goal right now is to get some seat time only using my pin-striping kit that has been sitting on my shelf for almost a year now. Last year i used a few spare parts from my sisters wrecked civic and tested out some techniques for line thickness and curves.

Here is the mess i came up with:

Then i tried a free hand design, not this was my first time trying this , i dont think it came out all that bad.

First I wanted to do something a little bit fun and related to what im working on, some of you may know i have a 86 Oldsmobile cutlass 442 clone project that i have been working on for a long time now. Wanted to pay tribute to the olds and came up with this:

Just this morning I finished up this design, my father passed away last January, he was a master ASE mechanic for well over 30+ years. I took a few ASE tests with him for auto-body and paint. We made a great team.....

A few mistakes here and there but nothing that cannot be touched up or fixed

Looks good! When you get it down, come over and repaint my factory stripes. They disappeared when the car got repainted and I miss the '80s touch they added.

I'm just imagining all the places I could slop paint with a brush that long. LOL
