Belt Squealing, Deep Loud Engine Noise, Trouble Starting

I'm not sure if these problems are all related. The belt has been squealing for a few weeks, usually just at startup. Will keep going usually until I make it off of my street.

Then I started having some trouble starting the car. I would have to hold down the gas for a few seconds until the engine gets going or else it would go dead. I pump the gas 3 times and hold it a second each time whenever I start the car, have done this as long as I've had the car.

Then last night, when I get a little ways from home, it starts making a noise it's never made before. The engine became louder and started sounding, I guess, like a tractor or something. The noise seems to be coming from the driver's side, underneath the hood.

Any ideas? Do I have three unrelated problems?

Sounds like a defective water pump , is it overheating? If that belt is so loose it would not turn the water pump well which would cause overheating or close to it.

Is it froze up when you start it?
