    New to 3geez in Oregon

I'm on my second 3g and this one needs some help. I bought it two years ago for $300. It needed a clutch and a distributor. She has ran like a champ since then. I'm collecting parts for a major suspension overhaul. She has a little clunk when I hit bumps and the steering rack leaks. She is currently at 267k miles and i have no plans of getting rid of her soon. Thanks in advance for any help or input you guys give me.

She's a beauty, may as well replace all the power steering when the suspension gets done. I finally got all new suspension and immediately the hi press hose started leaking and the rack already leaked intermitantly every few months.

Thanks, I replaced the high pressure line about a 2 years ago. I picked up a set of tokico blues and ST springs, and new bushings all the way around.

Welcome from Ohio. The body of your call appears to be in very good condition. I'm guessing the roads in your area do not have snow/ice melting chemicals applied in winter, as here in Ohio.

I noticed a light color difference between the rear door and the rear fender. So, I'd guess one or the other was repainted. Which was it? Did you do that yourself?

We don't get much snow here, only a couple inches for a week or two in the winter. So no road chemicals. There is one little rust spot on one wheel well. As for the fender I think the discoloration may be due to the clear coat flaking off and some oxidation. It may have been painted before I got it though. I have a plan for painting sometime in the future, maybe in the summer. I like the silver so it would probably stock color.

I also have clear coat flaking off and I hope to do some painting later this year. Our cars appear to be the same color and I, too, will probably stick with the stock color.
