hey guys i was looking at a cone for my car does anyone know whats a good cone to buy and the right size :P
its the air intake but just the cone part
i dotn want to put a full air intake i just wanna put the cone
because somone at work was telling me that since its an old car its not ment to have a full intake it can cost you fuel consumption and you will have problems with over heating. lol i dont know if thats true so thats why im asking the forum they know better then me:P
I don't agree with all that but it can cause problems if you drive in high water.
lol so you think its a better idea if i install a full intake. which do you recommend. will it increase any hoarse power
Hoarsepower is what it'll sound like so that counts on the butt dyno lol
sorry i dint understand wht u said lol
Well just like anything else that promises small increases in hp, they work a LOT better with other mods, then you get an overall worthy percentage of increase. In other words the intake will add more hp to a motor with say a header and cam than it would a stock motor.
but would a full intake damage my car in any way. is it easy to put and wht do you suggest i should get
So wht do you suggest I do

Read this for ideas!
It's expensive to go with the full intake unless you can find a used one.

I run a k + n filter cone right off the throttle body i think its 2.750 inches but i cant remember. I got rid of the air box junky plumning and i can reach down from the top to get to the oil filter. I wash out the filter about once a year.
