    starter dying or battery?

This started to happen recently, either the starter is dying or my battery needs to be replaced. The car doent crank when i try turn it on sometimes. It sometimes just click, and click. I thought it was the battery so i jump started it, and it still clicked...then with a couple more clicking it worked. Hours later, Same thing would happen, this time i didnt jump start it, after some clicking it worked, what is goin on?

it could be either... I hate that... anyways most autoparts stores can test starters for free... just bring it in.

I pulled mine off and got it tested causeI had the same problem as you, but it ended up being the battery afterall... I thought it was the starter cause the headlights, radio, and power windows worked fine.

Yeah my starter went out when my clutch did. Smelled horrible, the thing went out when I was going 80mph to on of my lacrosse games. $250 tow charge and a $850 shop bill.

Well I did have a stage 2 performance clutch put in, I think that was about $400 and about $200 labor, starter I think was $35 but don't quote me on that. And I had a tune up done too.

I think they are about $30-$40 bucks for a starter. here check www.nopi.com they'll have a price for you.
