    i think my transmision is done

    ok i have enuff problems with my 87 auto lx

    for the longest time ive had this problem where at times i acclerate and it wont get any faster only slower sorta jerks on me....that used to happen every now and then, but now it hapens every signle time i cant get higher then like 70km.
    Also just now parking on my drivway which is a lil hill i put it in park and it started to jerk down the driveway......whats wrong?

    like u said, its ur tranny. better off with a used one.

    Try a tranny flash at an auto shop, not ATF change by yourself cuz that's incomplete. If no results within a month, u might be up for a tranny swap..
    Honda ATF would be nice but hey, going to Honda = $$$

    Actually, typical dexron3-mercon fluid will make the shifts a little firmer which I prefer for mine. And I can tell you that a tranny fluid flush and change will most likely be a waste of money. your trans needs to be rebuilt or replaced I am 99% certain without looking at it. By the way I am an apprentice transmission builder at a local shop. Sorry man, I know how you feel. I just shelled out $700 U.S. for mine.
