    [Sydney] New Guy

    Hi Guys,

I finally have been able to find another SJ. I had 1 10 years ago that was plagued with problems (untrustworthy seller) who covered up a lot of things and lied about the history of the car. The one I purchased last night has had 1 owner.

I am planning to do a B16A2 conversion in this.

If anyone knows anything about these conversions please point me in the right direction. Need all the help I can get.

Welcome from California! Post pics of the car when you get a chance.

Sure I will take some tomorrow when the sun rises. Might drive it to work actually so can take some nicer pics.

Hope everything is fine on your side.

Congratulations that does look like a nice example, not an easy find.
I'm glad your previous problematic one didn't turn you off them.
I have bought a damaged 2g integra with hopes of fitting drivetrain to a rough hondamatic Accord one day, since I preferred my Accords torquey character over my vtec CR-X.

Thanks. Yeah it did have problems but I still loved it. Does the integra drive train all fit up? Bolt in? Shocks and all?

The B16A2, is in my friend's EK. Pretty good. He is changing to B18C7 so I am taking the B16A2. Would be interesting.

The CRV B20, Integra B18, & Civic B16 engines are all related & basically the same size, just slightly taller block for longer stroke of B18, then bored a little more for B20. Usually more torque & less revvy as they get bigger, though vtec can alter that.
Integra are closely related to Civics underneath so wouldn't be any easier to fit. Unfortunately 2g Integra has cable clutch so I may buy 3g g/box, & Non-vtec so doesn't rev as high, which doesn't worry me for the money; I got a 2nd engine for $50 via ebay after it's owner upgraded to k20. I think it should match the Accords old character well & gives me all the odds & ends that might cost money later.

I'm lazy so Accord still has it's original radio, just try to avoid hacking into good door trims for cheap speakers

We built an EG with a B20/B16 Frankenstein. B20 Block, and B16a head. V-tev kicked in at about 4000rpm and we set redline at 7500rpm. Lots of torque, and having the v-tec come on that early meant we had lots of usable power. It pulled 132kw atw on the dyno. Not bad. The Spoon LSD in there was strange for me, as I have not driven front wheel on race track before. We took it too Wakefield. The LSD bites and kinda keeps you pulling through the corner, but if you let off the gas in a corner expect it to spin out.

I would be happy with the stock radio but it's gone. And they cut two holes in the door trim for speakers which are also no longer there. Towards the rear of the door and not near our foot.

I am thinking of going to Strathfield Car Radios to get a cheap deck and 2 speakers put in.

First things first, both doors had the key barrels jammed with screwdriver. A parts shop said they have oem replacement for $55 for the pair and key. I might attempt to do it myself.

Still on the hunt for rear quarter window moulds. Right side is leaking apparently, so the old man siliconed it shut. I would prefer to have it functional.
