Had to change my drivers side axle, and I'm not impressed with the fit of the 1989 prelude axle. I figured all the b-swap guys could come together, and make a thread about what axles to run on a b-swap.
Passenger side:
I'm positive an 87-89 Acura Integra Passenger Side Axle fits like a glove, and I have been running one for years now.
A second confirmed axle is the 90-93 Integra passenger side axle.
The drivers side (with 90-93 ls 5-speed intermediate shaft)
I was running a hybrid axle it was the center shaft of the axle from the passenger side of the 86-89 accord. The ends (parts that connect to the hub, and to the transmission) are from an 88-91 Integra.
I recently purchased an 89 Prelude drivers side axle (must be 89 to fit in the 3gee hub). You will also need an intermediate shaft from a 1991-1993 integra 5-speed. It fits just fine in the hub, but I am having trouble with the intermediate shaft side. In the picture below: you can see that the left side is the 89 prelude, and the right is the hybrid axle. The splines do not go all the way down the shaft and this does not allow axle to go all the way into the intermediate shaft (can't get the snap ring in place). You can see I tried to modify the axle to get it to go deeper into the intermediate shaft. It looks like the axle is the perfect length, but the intermediate shaft side is the problem.
Here are some installed shots.
