    Issues >_<

Ugh ran into a few problems with the Honda. As you know, I do own an '89 Lx with the a20a1 (carb'd)
I was driving last night and it stalled out on me in 5th gear. Popped the hood to find my distributor off. Starting off there, I turned my crank pulley with a socket and ratchet, until the "white" mark on the camshaft pulley was approx. 12 oclock, then pointed my distributor's rotor towards spark plug wire 1s location on the cap.
    Did I do this correctly?
Also. I can't seem to find the idle/air mixture screws on my carburetor. My car drives fine, it's just coming to a stop, it'll stall out on me. MAYBE those screws are off?
I need some serious help here!

Doesn't the distributor have a key that allows it to only go in one way? If so it should be set properly as long as it bolts in place.

That's true. What could be my issue? My car only runs "properly" when the distributor is fully advanced.
    Possibly carb?

Check that the timing belt hasn't skipped a tooth.
