I'm over in Perth and have just bought a pair of mint 1st gen mirrors from Canberra, have been searching for more than 3 years though!! Came off an Aus delivered sedan so they are out there.

    Cheers, Glenn.

Hey SJNoob, can you post a pic of what an Australian 1980 mirror looks like? They tend to vary market to market, and I think that here 1980 may have even had it's own mirror.

I saw an Accord being wrecked in Canberra... must have been the one. Not everyone looked after these cars though, not here. I seen a few rusty ones around.

Are they the same for all 1st gens down there? We got at least 3 different mirrors here.

For instance, there is a non-remote mirror that I believe we got that was on the really early models.

Then there is this mirror: 1978 1979 1980 1981 Honda Accord Chrome Side Door Mirror with Gasket Super Nice | eBay

And then in 81, they ditched the chrome mirror and went with black plastic.

Hard to tell from that pic if you have a remote mirror or not.

Not 100% sure but I think the above mirrors were for 79 onwards here. No it's not a remote one, have never seen a 1st gen here with one.

I also never seen one here with anything other than the chrome manual adjustable. My old one had both. This 2nd I have is only one sided.

If I can't source one, I may look at fender mirrors
