Getting glass out of 1st gen mirror

Anyone know how to remove the glass from a 1st gen Accord mirror? I need to take it out to push out a couple of small dents from this:

    Cheers, Glenn.

    Congratulations.
I think you might have to cut the hard rubber retaining trim & 'glue' the glass in again afterwards with non-acetic silicone or polyurethane sealant/adhesive.
I broke the glass on one trying to remove it & had to cut a new piece from a cheap mirror. Paint inside too given how many rust from the inside-out.

Thanks 79cord, yeah I broke the glass in both mirrors I have to get them out, lucky I did because they had surface rust inside which I cleaned up and painted.
    Cheers, Glenn.

Cutting a cheap mirror roughly to size with glass-cutter & sanding into shape worked fine, though took two tries and some are awfully thin glass.
