Just got an 89 DX! Pics!

Hey all! I just picked up this 1989 Accord DX 5-speed. It has 134,xxx on the clock, the interior is pretty good for that age, body is a little banged up but surprisingly no major rust. I got this pretty much to be my gas saver for work. Paid $900 for it! I'm somewhat familiar with hondas. I had owned a 91 CRX Si for 7 years which I swapped in a DOHC ZC motor. It runs good but has a little funny idle and seems like it's a little bumblely like it might need plugs or something outta wack.

So far the only thing I did was a tad of sea foam for the carb and some in the gas tank. I ordered a new set of NGK Wires & V-Power Plugs. The distributor appears it was replaced at one point. And the head looks like it also could have gotten a new gasket. Guess I'll have to dig the timing gun out. Anyways, just sharing some info! Enjoy the pics and I even found the factory manual with the factory radio book too lol!

Welcome to the forum. Looks like you found a car that still has years of life left. And, yeah, older cars are often missing the manual; you were lucky there.

Thanks! Yeah I always enjoy finding original manuals. The radio one is a bonus lol. This forum is great I already got some stuff printed out and ready to start checking things Saturday.

I do not own it anymore, that got sold years ago. Children came along so the toy had to go . But I think I have some pics of it I'll look later for them.

As for the Accord right now I just want to get it running right and after that who knows. The body isn't too bad so it does temp me to possibly start a project with this.
