Stock Security System

Was there ever a stock security system offered from Honda Dealerships?

Under my drivers side carpet in the corner of the firewall is mounted a 6"L x 3"W x 1" T dark blue box that says security on it and has quite a few wires coming out of it. I think the numbers on it are 716? I'll have to study more. Just discovered it today on break and didn't get to look too far into it.

They definitely offered car alarms as a dealer installed item back then. They were all those damned infernal '80s alarms that were constantly going off at all hours. Good riddance, I say.
