    idea about electric

Ok i guess i'm combining two ideas. Electric with a turbo. why not have an electric blower and push air into our throttle body, would that kill anything? I would imagine some sort of brain would have to be on the blower so that it doesn't blow all the time and as hard as it can. Is this a possibility for a relativly cheap mod?

Hush hush.....your mind is mingling into my project. I'm working on a setup that pushes 2-3 psi of boost and it is powered by electricity. I'm making mine a WOT electric motor cause I don't know of any other way to control it with the rpm's of the car. This is sorta good cause thats when you want the power is when you are at WOT. They are several design flaws with this but I think I can make it work. First your only going to see maybe 15 horses tops. Second it takes power to make power and to push 2-3 psi your going to need around a 3hp fan motor. This puts a severe strain on your charging system but will be ok for short WOT blasts (much like your starter pulls down huge amps for short bursts during cranking). Third an electric motor isn't as effecient as running of exhaust gases or the crank belt. But if you are only looking for low boost it will work. If you are looking for more boost than 3psi you will never accomplish it will an electric blower.
In the end...it doesn't even matter.

When the fan isnt spinning, wont the blades slow down the incoming air?

That's too much energy transfer. With a turbo, you're transferring kinetic energy from the exuast (which is technically 'wasted') into a compressor. A supercharger goes straight off the motor using a belt. An electric one would have you transfer power from the motor, to the alternator, then to the distrbutor, etc. And each time you convert energy from one form to another you lose some along the way.

but it's easier to control electric motor than a driven belt pump ( super charger ) ! you just cut off the power , increase or decrease resistance to get more , less , shut down the air !

I think u can make something to help a little but it will have to be a very efficient impeller and housing design and might be a bit large for a good fit under the hood. Also, at WOT the alt in our cars is struggling to give enough juice to the ignition. The electric motor might just starve the ignition enough to negate the power increase provided by the fan. It might work with an upgraded alt and a strong battery like an optima, though.

I've seen cars at the track run with no alternator before by removing the belt to gain power and the ignition system worked fine. Of course they had to put the belt back on after a few runs.
In the end...it doesn't even matter.

...you could control the fan speed with a POT.....

Ok I just went and bought two E-ram superchargers off the internet and I'm goint to study the design and see whats up with them. I might dissassemble and see what all the commotion is on them. They might work is they flow enough air but I won't be sure till I inspect everything. I got my car wired to so many damn gauges we'll see what it does. I'm going to check my air/fuel ratio to see if indeed it will run lean indicating extra air flow and then check my vacuum gauge to see if it alleviates any extra vaccum created by the long cold air intake. I'll check my fuel pressure gauge and see what pressure I have to run to maintain stoichmetric ratio and i'll check my volts and amps to see exactly how deadly an electric supercharger is to your electrically system
In the end...it doesn't even matter.
