Hello from Oregon!

Hi, my name is Chris and I've recently purchased my very first Honda. It's a 1988 Accord LX, gold in color, and just hit 117,000 miles. I've come across the site several times while searching for various bits of information about the car so I figured I might as well join in on the fun. It's a pleasure to be here.

Glad to hear the site has been helpful! When you get a chance, post up some info about your car! Any plans for it? Just a DD? Gonna mod it out?

Well, right now she's my daily driver. Got it at 115,000 miles and according to the previous owner, it's been taken care of religiously. I never know how much of those stories to believe, but with how clean it is, it seems pretty likely. Picked it up for 2,150, which was a bit high considering it's got a couple flaws, but I thought I could do a lot worse on the price. It's got the carbureted 2.0 with an automatic tranny. Couple scratches in the clear coat that I think I can get out eventually, couple little dents but nothing horrible. The worst is a dent on the back corner right between the bumper and taillight. They tried painting that corner gold hoping to make it less noticeable but it had the effect of drawing a bulls eye around it. Luckily I know a paint and body guy who is going to give me a good deal on fixing it. Windshield had a nice crack but I just got it replaced today. Basically just working on getting her back into proper shape.
