can i do it with no fuel pressure?

no fuel pressure..........??? I dont know what u mean by that, but are u talking about no fuel pressure regulator? Well i dont think the efi NOs set up will work on a carb.
dry for EFI
wet for Carb
2 different setups
dry for efi?????? do you guys even know what your talking about....don't point the man in the wrong direction.....you could destroy his car. When you go dry you rely on computer calculations to add more fuel and with an ecu as crappy as ours and the time that elapses during that span you could be running lean too long. A WET setup is best on both accounts. The difference is an efi runs ~40psi and has a fogger nozzle you insert into the intake tube while a carb runs ~15psi and you have a plate or bar setup spraying in. So to answer your question....the bottle, solenoids, lines and everything are the same. The difference is the nozzle is replaced with a bar/plate setup.
In the end...it doesn't even matter.

Get a webber and buy a fogger plate. I think it's 500 for the complete set-up

ok SOrrrry, Dry with a GOOD Computer not our crappy onesOriginally posted by jteuton

Your engine does not rely on your computer for more fuel! It relies on the "T" set up on the vacume regulator that comes with the nitrous kit to increase fuel pressure, this rises fuel pressure way above stock on EFI applications.
On carb applications, it uses two nozzles or a plate, the function of this is to spray fuel and nitrous down the intake to increase fuel delivery. Carbs cannot be manipulated like EFI motors with the "T" fittings to increase fuel psi.
Direct port is another story.
This is the "T" fitting...
Here's an "NOS" faq... http://server2044.virtualave.net/87accordlxi/nosfaq.htm

The best kit out there is the wet kit, as in direct port.Originally posted by pimp86LX

The place that makes the weber plate is called oz racing and they are in australia or new zealand or some place down there. I can't find the url for it.

i believe that a direct port nitrous kit and a wet nitrous kit are not the same thing...

Correct! Its not the same set up, but its pretty much the same principle.Originally posted by merlindavis

Here's how it works....
This is the wet system (EFI or carb intake)
Dirrect port "wet" (some call it wet as well due to fuel and n2o mixing)
Dry "fogger" (fogs intake manifold)

haha, the last person i expected to reply to that was the person i quoted... i did it under the impression that you didn't know the difference between the two... i wouldve explained the two, but i haven't researched nitrous too much since i don't like the horsepower in a bottle idea... i feel kinda stupid now...

good to see a sense of humor oldschool. nice diagrams by the way.

Thats ok bud! I just hope i can help others as much as i can. Nitrous is not realy a "bad thing" its just a matter of education and knowing how to use it and when to stop!Originally posted by merlindavis

You have control of the situation, not your car![]()
i never said it was bad, just that i didn't like the idea of hp in a bottle... i have no problems with nitrous or people who use it... it's the idea, not the application... if i got a free kit with free refills, i would most likely use it...

That would be a dream come true!Originally posted by merlindavis

I pay about $24 for each refill.
