i think this belongs here, cv boot

a couple of weeks ago i was showin off and slidin around and shit and i ran right into the fuckin curb, fucked up my new tires and dented my stock left rim on front, its str8 i jacked one of an lx-i hatch from the junkyard at about 2 in the morning, had a pretty good tire on it , but anywayz, i noticed when i turn my fuckin car clicks and shit from the right side, i looked under there and my cv boot is ripped and i was wondering if i could just replace the boot and repack it and it would stop the clicking or do i have to replace the whole cv axle, i need to know cuz it pisses me off and scares me at the same time, i'm afraid its gonna fall apart and stuff, thanx alot

you can buy a split boot that doesn't require you to even take the axle out to change it, but you can only get them for the outer boot, and if you don't get a good one it will open up and you will have grease everywhere. mine have been clicking for months, i just haven't had the time to change them. they are so bad i can feel it.

hey si, it's really not that big of a deal to replace, and they're not that expensive at all. I just replaced both mine with rebuilds for $59 each.
