You cannot run a dual coil sub with two amps. The reason for the two coils is to enable you to match the impedence of the sub to your amp. You can either connect them in series or parallel to get the impedence you need.
Yeah, if your amp is 1/2 ohm stable, than wire it in parallel, if it's 2 ohm stable, wire it in a series, or if you have say a 4 channel amp, you could wire each voice coil independantly.

who makes .5 ohm stable amps??? i heard about it b4 but i dont know who makes the amp? will a class D work?
