I got curious and checked on how much power your friends rs has.

    A 2003 Subaru RS has Hp: 165@5600 Torq:166@4000
    A 2003 Subaru WRX has Hp: 227@6000 Torq: 217@4000

I'm not a fan of gutting your interior for weight reduction, but I know that's what usually get's mentioned. I will say that replacing your heavy cast iron exhaust manifold with a header will reduce allot of weight and do it at the very front of the car. Also removing the powersteering system and replacing it with a manual rack ought to save some more weight. And if you live in a cool climate removing the a/c system will save weight to. Plus your motor would not have to power them to that should free up a little hp as well.

OH yeah, i just said TATA to my compressor, condensor, all AC lines. hehehe after some serious busting, the compressor brakcet came off and man.. that thing all combined should be atleast 40 lbs. Shit is damn heavy. well, freed up some room up front. also i am planning either to put the front iron brace that runs just under ur bumper, its the only thing that saved my car and mainly me from dying in the crash, but i dont know if i wanna put it in. I know Justin does not have it. That thing is like 25 - 30 lbs too. The only reason i am debating is that my box frame braces are just twisted as hell.
