    Unhappy knocking front suspension lx-i

    hello peepz

    can somebody tell me why my front suspension makes a knocking noise while driving on bad roads.. It just makes me crazy feeling like my car would fall apart. same sound on left & right side.
    is it the lower controll arm or the upper..????
    i already changed my rear control arms..
    pleazz
    help!!

    First thing I'd do is check the condition of all the bushings, especially the sway bar bushings.
    H&R springs revalved Bilstein front struts, koni struts in the rear 195/55-15 Dunlop W-10's Dc Sports header custom cat-back with Dynomax super turbo w/3" Brembo slotted & dimpled rotor's EBC pads

    ball joints barings and strutts too...i got an 89 lx-i accord like you and it happens ALL the time....i've changed mine (both left and right) about 2 times...these old hondas are known for these problems...just bare with it and turn up the system....or get em fixed...not too expensive either....

    Check the sway bar end links. I've driven the car without the bushings, and the knocking is there on bad roads. Just my 2c.

    Im willing to bet that its the retainer clips on the brake pads. They wear out easy and the brake pad rattles.
