Bad plug wire would cause that.

Plug wires are brand new. Only seen 8 miles. Though could be a from factory defect though in the wire(s)
Anyone know the resistance for spark plug wires?

you need to verify it's not the injector, have you tried to put a piece of rubber tube up to it, and held it to your ear? this is so you can hear if it's clicking, it is possible the resistor box heats up and the resistor for that injector quits, not likely, but possible, if you have a regular LED, you can hook it up with a resistor like you are going to run it on 12 volts, hook one end to ignition switched power, and the other to the yellow wire at the ECU, this acts like a noid light, the tiny current draw of the LED wont affect the ECU, you can drive the car and observe whether that circuit fails while you are driving. It still could be an ECU fault, the driver circuit for that injector could be failing and heating up.

basically, each injector has an output transistor or something like it that does the current switching, over time any current handling component can start to fail and become thermally sensitive, they do warm up during use. the best way to check this is what I suggested with an LED, this will give you a visual indication of exactly what's going on with the output of the ECU, Honda should have installed four LEDS into the ECU case as an instant verification of injector issues

Not off the top of my head, but they should all be around the same value, with a slight tapering off as the wire length gets shorter. Check them at night to see if they're arcing. Move them around to see if you get shocked by a break in the insulation.

he fixed it, he will probably post in a bit, the clip that the injector gets it's power and ground from was bent slightly and not making contact

    Re: A fuel injector problem

Finally, after a looong 60 mile trip through rush hour traffic, I was able to get ahold of a Noid light kit. (P/N 67064 EverTough)

20 minutes after getting home, found the issue. Cylinder #4 fuel injector had a bad connection at the injector plug. Just had to bend the metal connector back into place alittle and bingo. Problem solved. B-) noticed the connection issue when I'd hang the noid light/FI pigtail upside down it wouldn't get connection. Flip it upright or sideways and had perfect connection consistently. After a week of issue after issue, took only 20 minutes to solve the problem. I would recommend a noise light set to anyone with FI issues. They're $17.99 at O'Reillys Auto Parts. You can keep the noid lights or take it back and get a refund. Ill be keeping these though. :-D valuable tool IMHO.
