    Hatchback Bodykits???

    Ok, all of us hatckback owners know there are no kits for the hatchback. Well we know that the front bumper of the after market kits will fit but not the sides and the back bumper. Well how much modification would it take to fit the back bumper and the side skirts on??? Would I be able to do it myself??? Also did someone mention that a 90-93 back bumper of a integra would fit perfectly on the hatchbacks???

    So....Maybe...if you get an after market front bumper for the 3geez...mixed with a 90-93 integ back bumper.....Then you got yourself a body kit. Well side skirts could come from the transport.

    So what do the hatchback owners think????

    I cant find the site that I saw the kit listed for the hatch but why shouldnt the kit fit!?!? All the measurements should be the same.

    Well the front bumper fits. But the sides of the hatchback aren't the same as the coupe or sedan. Same with the back bumper. It is just a little bit off. I haven't measured it...but I've talked with after market dealers..and they said they were different measurements... Also...some of the other hatchback owners on the board have found out that they aren't the same measurements...

    Plus I called Xenon to see if the body kits would fit on the hatchback...and they replied with a no.

    Well I think I might of come up with something for the body kits but I dont know for sure yet see a guy at the junk yard is gone let me get a 88 coupe back bumper for 15 dollars so I am going to see if it will fit the 87 hatchback or not or how much modifaction it will take for it . but if it will not work i guess i can always just sell the bumper on ebay .

    Take a tape measure to a 90-93 teg. Its almost the same dimensions as a hatch.

    Are the back bumpers different on the 86-87 coupes, than the 88-89 back bumpers? Same question about the sedans...

    The rear bumpers off sedans and coupes are the same size no matter what year they are.

    They will not fit the hatch. They are about 3" longer on the sides.

    If you look at the dimensions from sedans and coupes they are about 3" longer than the hatch. the extra lenght is from the rear tire to the end of the back bumper.

    Well then...I guess you could cut down the bumper from the rear wheel part and custom fit it??? Or maybe have body shop do it.

    Yes you can do it that way. I'd have a pro do it though.

    Remember the bumper gets smaller on the sides once it starts going back. That migjht make it look funny if its cut and put back together.

    Its still very doable.

    I saw a 3rd gen 4dr with front spoiler from a 90-93 teg. It was the whole bumper and it looked alright. The guy didnt do any molding on it though. With a little professional bodywork it would have fit like it was meant to be there.

    Don't know Take a tape measure to it.

    One thing I will say is that the 90-93 teg has the closest body dimensions to the hatch.
