mugen rnrs are the lighest i have seen, well most realistically light rim, they weigh 7.5 lbs they are some crazy magnesium alloy. Im a fan of the spoon rims as well tho, hence i bought replicas that weigh and look the same. as a rule chromes and big rims are heavy.

Just to help clear this up, chrome is not what makes the rims heavy, it is the design of most chrome wheels. If you take two identical wheels, one silver, one chrome, they will be within ounces of each other. I have sent many emails to companies and make quite a few phone calls to verify this. I also actually did weigh them at a wheel shop one time and they were within ounces of each other. Of course the lightest wheels won't be chrome because it isn't easy to chrome the magnesium-mix wheels and most people who will want light wheels aren't into chrome so there is no market for light chrome wheels.
I just want to make sure it is clear that it isn't the chrome that makes them heavy.

15" Konig Helium wheels weigh 10.8 lbs each and cost about $100 per. The look good, too.

15" Axis Maglite wheels weigh 11 lbs each and cost about $130 per.

15" Rota Slipstreams weigh 12 lbs each and cost about $90 per.
