    Angry can't get gas to engine HELP!!

    lets see from about 1.5rpm's to 3.5rmp's i my car sputters like it's running out of gas or something. after 3.5rpm's it runs fine. Any ideas. its an 88lx model.

    did you check the fuel lines, and the fuel filter??

    make sure you check both fuel filters..the one near the gas tank and the one in your engine bay

    clean the carb and see if the choke operates fine !

    adjust the air/fuel mixture screw.

    try running the car, and having someone put gas straight in the carb. if it runs perfect than something is wrong with fuel filters, pump or lines. if it still sucks than play with the carb some, and clean it out.

    does it idle ok ! if you meant that it kinda hesitates when you press gas ! so i am with shepherd79 ! A/F mixture screw !

    it idles fine. it is just when i push the gas, and only when i'm in gear. someone told me it could be a vacume hose. anyone know about that? will a diagnostics check help?

    vaccum leak would be bad at idle.

    check the faqs there are 2 lns up there about carbs !

    i had the same trouble. Esp. when trying to go uphill. Start by replacing the fuel filters. It's only like $10 total for them, and even if they were not the culprit, it would'nt hurt to change them anyway. Then just go from there.

    ok i just changed the fuel filters but i haven't driven it yet. i'll let you know how it goes later onl.
