Im sorry i forgot to say its 86 accord lxi .5 speed
Here are some basic strategies for getting to these hoses.
1. Use 1/4" sockets where possible and get extensions and swivel adapters for them
2. Disassemble as much as you can around the old hose to allow yourself room to work
3. If you are working with original hose clamps that look like this:
Snip them off with wire cutters and throw them away. They are worse than useless. All the Honda hose clamps that came on my car have been snipped off and sent back to Hell from whence they came. I don't care if these cars become priceless collectibles in factory condition someday, those hose clamps will nevermore be coming near my car.
'nuff said.
Replace the Satanic hose clamps with proper hose clamps that look like this:
or this:
4. Start with the easy end, so you can move the hose around as you work on the more difficult end.
5. When you put the new clamps on, be sure to face them toward openings in the manifold so that you can reach them easily in the future.
6. Curse freely and vigorously as you work. It helps. Science said so.
Finally, it's best to replace all the little bypass hoses at one time. When one starts leaking, others will follow and a blown hose can give you a big tow bill if it happens at the wrong time. Replace them all now.
