    1979 & 1980 Accord restoration .

I resumed the restoration of my 1979 and bought a rustbucket 1980 model for parts but decided to also restore it since i have all the parts needed to do both.

The last importan items i needed was the front and rear bumpers, that i acquired recently, so i am ready to go.

Well, the process is just beginning so theres nly pics of the cars as they look now, but will continue uploading any progress.

    1980 Accord (Ex-Parts car)

Already fitted with new tail lamps to be able to drive it home

Wow that is scary. Have you got a good rear 1/4 panel or will it be customized a bit like your '79?
Much respect for the desire to save it.
Bonus upon the roof console, surprised to see Black with silver trims as the one I have is Black with black, though I did see a picture of Beige with silver trims that I adore.

The 79 will be original again, no mods as i found the bumpers wich made possible 5ha original plan to restore it to show condition, The quarter Panels will be replaced with newnos quarters. I also have brand new quarter panels for this 80 as well as new chassis parts, but Even with no new parts we can reproduce the panels but with new parts is easy . All accords here came in different colors with the same silver trim .

The roof console makes me feel like i am driving a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress .

PS: My younger brother is using the rustbucket right now as his car had mechanical problems (1990 Mercury Topaz) and after driving it a couple days i ask him: Hey, what you feel driving that piece of crap? He says: Well, Honda is Honda, the car drives like a charm, i love it!

Quick selection of parts from inventory, i think this is all i might use:

There's more but i need to inspect the frame to determine what needs to be replaced and what stays.

Tha new trunklid is a little bent so i think i will reuse the original that is still almost intact except for the paint.

Yep, after i finish my restorations i will sell everything. CSMNL offers to buy NOS Honda parts. A friend of mine already sold a complete N360 inventory to them and they did all the paperwork and stuff to export from Py to Netherlands.

Lol, they are huge, from roof to rocker panel. Most repairs only need rocker panels or querter panel burt no this thing!
