    Question Help With Plexi Glass

I need some help with a plexi glass problem that I am having while trying to make clear corners. I read the How To on how to make them but it doesnt go into detail on how you are supposed to get the plexi glass flexible enough to were you can bend and form it to the shape of the corner. Please explain this to me in detail. (Blow torches and hair dryers dont work, I tried those)

    Thanks

You need to put it in a preheated oven at somewhere around 150-200 degrees and watch it. There is no set length of time and I think I didn't leave mine in for more than 2-3 minutes. As soon as you see some slight softening, pull it out with oven mitts and bend. If it's so soft that it flexes all over the place, it was in too long. It should just be soft enough to make the one or two require bends and then it should be back to hard.

What I did was, I took my handy Dremel tool and took the stock lenses and cut out the center of them. Then put the plexiglass over the tiny stock frame lense that I made. P.S. silicone sucks when it's cold out. It looks really sweet. You can't tell the difference because I made the frame about 1/8".

I'm sorry I mis read the post, I thought it was the bumper signals. But yeah, do you just put the plexi glass in the oven or do you make some kind of mold for it? Maybe we could get some tin or aluminum and make a mold of our corners and then we could put the plexiglass over the mold in the oven. So, it will just shape itself. Tell me if I'm floating in space, ok?

if you wanna get the shape of the stock lights, take some sand paper, doesn't have to be a really rough grit or smooth grit, and just sand the edges or corners. just make sure that you dont do this too hard, or something bad will happen j/k :lol

well i had trouble bending and shaping my clear tails when i made them. i finaly just put them over the open flame burner on my stove. my stove is a natural gas one. it worked for me. also this helps if u have a crack. just warm it up on the crack.
