    PCV Crankcase Hose

Such a random sizing interval. Crankcase end of the hose is like almost an inch ID and ¼ inch ID at the intake.
Has anyone had to recently replace theirs and how'd you do it?
I used random hose adapters and hoses.

    Re: PCV Crankcase Hose

I use a formed heater bypass hose from an 80's Mopar 318, trim off the Honda plastic piece as much as it can stand and it can be used with that but if not, there are other ways to reduce it to fit the valve. The Mopar hose fits the oil separator perfectly and bends a 90 with 1" ID

if you are referring to number 3 in the pic below it is the breather tube.

THe breather tube can be ordered from any Honda dealer. Online it can be ordered from Honda Parts at Honda Parts Now | Genuine OEM Honda Auto Parts or Discount Auto Parts Online -- PartsGeek.com - Domestic & Import Auto Parts Warehouse. I replace one on my 86 DX (R.I.P) and one on my 89 LXi. It is 22MM ID. When it needs to be replaced it is as hard as plastic but it is rubber. After you cut the old one out, the new one is hard to install because you need to fold it to get it on both the oil pan and the breather chamber.

No. Talking about #5 on your picture. Number 3 would have been a cake solution. The ridiculous hose interchange, in such a tiny length....

#6 looks like it's for carbs, #5 for EFI. Yeah, that's the most retarded, unreplacable tube I've ever seen. What the hell am I supposed to do with that?

When I replaced mine I replaced all the other hoses as well. I changed out the breather chamber grommet and o ring as well. I'm pretty sure I removed the breather chamber, installed the new o ring and grommet on it, attatched the new hose to the oil filter, and the one that goes to the PCV valve then put the entire assembly (chamber both hoses, and new o ring) back in and then got the top of the tube to slide in place

Using the Dodge hose brings the end out and over to the right of the intake manifold where you can get to it, you can always use a valve set up using regular hose stock, clamps and grommets..I do use a clamp to hold that hose to the oil box, it fits but kinda loose feeling when I am working with it.

#5 may not be available for the 86 but it is for the 89. It looks like it was changed in 88.

Honda Parts at Honda Parts Now | Genuine OEM Honda Auto Parts has the 88-89 version for about $15.00 it might be worth trying it.

    The part number is 11855-PH3-J01
