well I just got from emmisions and my sedan weighed in at 2750 lbs.. thats with a dual sub box enclosure... I was just wondering what its supposed to weigh... oh ya by the way.. does our car have an EGR valve???

I know the 89 LXi has an EGR valve, but I'm not as familar with the emssions junk on the carbed cars. I think they all have it too though. If you've got a small pipe threaded into your exhaust header, then you also have an egr valve.
The coupes and HBs weigh 2500-2600 lbs. and the sedans weight about 2700 lbs. Transmission and trim level also make a difference.

cool.. thanks.. I'll have to check on that.. I think the pipe threaded into the header connects to the air intake return... is this the same pipe that you are refering to???

yeah carb engines have EGR.

ok so do you think that a bad/old egr valve could be one reason that I failed emissions??? Im going to get a new hi-low cat and fix my timing but could that be one reason?
