205/45-16 is the correct plus size. Some of the guys run 205/40-16, but it's a tad undersized and your speedo with be off a bit. If you have 42mm or 45mm offset (with 40mm offset I'd still worry about clearance) you can run 215/40-16, which is pretty close to being correct for your speedo.

ya know what sucks... Went I went in to get my emmisions test... I was watching the comp. screen and the needle of the cars speedo... the damn speedo was slow by 2-3mph... So I was like "looks like the speedo is a little slow huh?" "What do you expect on a car thats this damn old" I was like.. NO YOU DIDNT JUST SAY THAT!!! lol... anyways I wonder how much a digital one would cost....

No don't go with that size, it is not the correct plus size. It's a taller tire and your speedo will be off and because the tire is taller it's like your running taller gearing so your car will be slower. And since it's taller runs the possiblity that clearance problems will result since it will place the closer to the rear fender lips.

The correct size is 205/45-16 and equals oem. 215/45-16 is close
    205/40-16 is smaller than oem
    205/50-16 is taller than oem

Whoa, Jim wasn't insulting you at all. 3rdgenmartyr wanted to know the correct size. Jim told him what he could go with. And I have gone to tire shops and asked if some tires would work with my rims and they said no because it will mess my speedometer up. They refused to even put them on after I told them I don't care. It was a really good tire deal too. Most of us I'm sure don't go the speed limit, but i'm sure most of us want to at least know how fast we are going. And not everything you learn from the net is bullshit. If you're saying everything you learn from the net is bullshit, then your saying that this website is bullshit and that's just not cool.

CHILL OUT!!!!! First off you obviosly dont visit this site much because if you did then you would know that Jim knows his shit and thats why he is the moderator for the Suspension/Wheels/Tires section... and to say that you only learn BS from the net is like saying that you only learn BS from the mear textbooks that you went through school with which so happens to teach the teachers of whom you were also educated by.... Proper research on the net (and in Jim's case PERSONAL EXPERIENCE) as well is just as viable as working in a Tire shop in 90% of the aplications... and can sometimes prove to be more efficent.... speedo error as well as syncro error is not something that you just impose unknowingly upon people who are looking for a proper tire size....
