Complete suspension rebuild

Just wondering if anyone here has done it? I know 87 roach has done a lot of suspension work on his hatch. I have replaced a few parts on mine and wouldn't mind replacing all of the bushings. Im also getting shaking and vibrations at the steering wheel. Anyone else plan on doing this in the near future?

I've replaced everything on my LX sedan except rear trailing arm bushings and the PS rack. I kinda cheated though by basicly buying parted out projects from members. Complete upgrade with poly bushings, ST bars, lowering springs, peformance shocks, everything else new from Rock Auto.
Shaking steering wheel sounds like a tire issue.

I've replaced everything that 2oodoor has as well. One of the biggest improvement I saw was from the front radius rod bushings. Handling and ride were both improved. I actually removed all my performance bushings, and installed all factory replacement for better ride quality.

I agree with legend the radius rod bushings are the best bang for the buck.

Rear uppers the balljjoint get loose at the 2 year mark unless there greased. Front uca i prolly gone thru about 8 pairs trying differant bushing setups. I make run alot of solid bushings.

The rear trailing arm stuff is really the only t hing i have not ever messed with.

The only other thing im working on is struts,springs setup with AMR suspension but thats top secret.

Cool. Sounds like you got a good deal. I will double check the balance on my tires when i get them rotated soon

Ok cool! Well i know mines are probably shot so im gonna get those on order asap. So far ive replaced both of my axles when I did the engine swap, swaybar endlink bushings, both upper and lower control arms front and rear, h and r lowering springs with tockico struts. So you think staying oem is better than aftermarket?

My radius rod bushing looked fine, but they were soft due to time. I do 5000 miles road trips, so super stiff suspension was getting old quickly. If its a fun car, or just around town the poly bushings are fine. The poly bushings were a load of fun with the coil over setup I use to have.

I have re-done all of my front suspension, and will do the complete rear this offseason. I replaced the: upper control arms, lower control arms, all assoc. ball joints, all bushings with poly except for radius rod where I used blue Moog bushings. Also installed were a reman steering rack, rotors and calipers, KYB shocks and ST lowering springs, and ST stabilizer bar with Prothane poly bushings. I do not feel any rough ride symptoms, rather a nice tight ride with that sweet Honda Accord "one finger" steering effort. Still have old tires, and they are ooooold; must do soon!

Nice! Where did you get all your parts from? It would be nice to have a all in one full suspension rebuild kit we could buy

Unfortunately no kit to buy, but we can essentially put one together. I got my radius rod bushings, control arms (with bushings and ball joints included), calipers, and rotors from Rock Auto, and I am happy with their selection and service. It was between NOPI and Andy's Auto Sport for the ST stabilizer bars/end links. Andy's was cheaper, but I had to harass them because it took two weeks to get them. I used the Excel G2 KYB shocks from Rock Auto also, though some on this site have said that they are too soft and bouncy when combined with ST lowering springs. I have not found this to be the case. As for the ST springs it could have been Andy's or NOPI, but I would have to check my receipts. I have bough springs (and shocks) for my Z at raceinspired.com and assaultech.com, and the springs could have been one of these as well.
