    new rims/tires

I'm actually looking at sometime in the future getting hopefully 17's for my car and I was wondering was there anything special I should know like what size would fit without sticking out from the wheelwells and especially what kind of tire to get for a possible year round driving since I live in a midwest climate with snow and salt on the roads and all that shit. Bear in mind I know nothing about this sort of thing....just kinda going in blind.

If you live in pothole territory you might want to consider 16's instead. For 17's you will need to get 205/40-17, that's as close as you can get for proper plus sizing. Any other size is a bad idea.
And you have to have a minimum offset 0f 40mm, 42mm would be a bit better. 43mm and 45mm are ok as well. Keep in mind that you will benefit from keeping the weight of your rims down, I recommend that you look for rims no heavier than 18lbs.
www.whalentire.com good prices, some list the weight of the rim
if they don't carry you tire choice, steve will get it for you, just ask.

www.discounttiredirect.com look at konig helium and traffic
www.tirerack.com kinda expensive on thier rims.

I don't care for all-season tires, but if I had to buy them I'd get these

Tire recommendations are just a thought, if any user want's to chime in with thier own recommendation, have at it.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
