I think the lip makes a HUGE difference in apperence of the car... I really like it a lot... I just dont think it would look that good on my 87 becasue the underneath of the bumper is set back much more then the 88-89 is... but the car looks great man... so you live in AL and you took the A/C out??? Damn you're crazy man... haha.. I hope you can survive the heat once summer rolls around...

was it more of a gain due to weight or something else?? My cousin who lives in Louisiana doest have A/C in his truck... damn ... when ever I drive down to visit in the summer his ass always drives w/ me... lol... but thats good that you got rid of the dead weight though....

I'd like to know how you got your flipped lid to stay on, since when I tried it the bolts dont stick through to put the nuts on when the lid is flipped.

this kid at my school has the original accord lip but his is m,issng a part but it looks good though. removing the ac helps performance 1, because like said before you loose about 30 lbs, and 2 te less belts youe engine has to move the faster and more freely it can move, therefore causing more power

KaMiKaZeE... you need to take the grommets off of the lid... then you need to take the part of the bolt that makes the bolt a wing nut off... there is a bolt inside of the wing nut... just use the bolts... the grommets are the rubber pieces that almost look like rubber washers on the lid it self... I also took the clips that hold the lid down off compleatly.... use a thin washer to seal off the hole on the lid to where the bolt rests....

Black and paint the body below the trim black, so you'll have a stripe along the bottom.

yea front lips really change the way the front of the car looks, i think it gives it more of a aggressive look.
I didnt expect to find this lip, i was looking around at a junkyard and noticed it on the front of a junked 3rd gen, i was like holy shit. so i got it and was like, "i found this on that 87 accord," he was like $25 i said well its missing a side and its scratche up, ill give ya $14" he was like ok
i sanded it down and painted it back black and it look new again.
Kool becaus eim like the only person around my area with one, everyone askeds is that a front kit? im like wtf no its a orignal accord lip.

in my opinion, the crx lip works and looks better than a body kit front bumper. I like the way u took out all the plastic grille from ur bumper. Plannin to put a mesh on it or just gonna leave it like that? Does ur bumper sag because u got no grille ?
