    New kid on the block!

    Hey y'all

My name is Ethan and Im 18 years of age. Abby (the 1988 Accord LX-i below) is my new pride and joy. It took a couple of months of convincing but I bought her from a lady from church for $1800! This is my second car, my first being a 1972 Chevy Chevelle. My dad and I restored the Chevelle my junior year and I daily drove it to school my senior year. I drove that a little over a year and it was time for something new. (But dont worry, I didnt and wont sell my Chevelle!) The price and reliabilty of an older Accord sparked some interest so I jumped on the opportunity. I grew up around old school Chevys and Fords but what's funny is Im actually an import guy at heart. I wanted a project a little older, but something I could call an extension of me. Okay enough talk on to some pics!

These are the second owners and their newly purchased Accord. Notice the same color in and out

Bone stock with 183k on the clock, just got her home!

I love the interior especially the 2 tone! The lady ran sheep skin seat covers since day 1 so the seats are still freshhh. I wish it was a manual but oh well.

Since the pics I've done the hood mod and did a cruise control and windshield washer delete. My uncle is a Honda tech so he helped me with a timing belt and tune up so she's good to go!
I already bought some shweet wheels and new suspension is in the mail. Thanks for reading and the welcome!

Welcome and beautiful car! Lots of knowledge here and you will need nothing more than this site and the pdf service manual. Excited to see what you do with her.

I see your car has a sunroof. I wonder, anyone, did all 88 LX-i Accord sedans have a sunroof? My 88 LX-i coupe does not have it.

Sunroofs were only available on 4 door models, did not have to be an LX-i however

Nice car man! Do you plan on doing any exhaust work to it? If so, I'd be interested in some of the stuff you take off of it. Also, do you plan on replacing the radio, as I would definitely be interested in the stock unit.

That's fine, just let me know when you take the muffler off, i'm mainly interested in the finisher on the end of the stock muffler.
