    Unhappy Sprayed tail lights

    I sprayed my tail lights with the candy apple red tranparent paint an i messed them up so i tryed to scrub it of an now they have lil scratch's. Does anyone know what will get it off.

    I think I heard something about nail polish remover taking it off.

    mine did that ....i just got real fine sandpaper...like the stuff thats almost smooth...sand it a little....wipe all the crap off and paint them again untill you cant see the scratches no more

    mineral spirits and buff the scratches with rubbing compound it works trust meeeeeeee i messed up my first time trying the mineral sririts gets paint of , and dip the rag with rubbing compound in a lil bit of water and scrub back and forth (will get the scratches out)

    petroleum.... that works wonders on removing any kind of paint and almost anything else really.... yea, when i painted mine i got a bit on the reverse light, so i put some on there and voila! it was off in a sec...

    not if you dampen a rag with mineral spirt and rub the lens i did it nothing happend to mine just keep it mixed withe water

    if i sand them will most of the stuff come off cause there pretty dark right now??. I was gonna spray them again to get the tiny scrub mark scratch's out, but then barely any light would show through.

    why dont you just take a weekend and make clear and red tails. if
    ACT Stage 1, Short Ram Intake & 2.25 Dynomax custom catback w/4inch carbon fiber tip. Thats it for now.

    Putting the paint back on after

    2 words... SUPRA STYLE check out my tails... although im gonna redo them... im gonna replace the plexiglass to get rid of the reflector ....actually... supra style tails would be a lot harder to do since you dont have a hatchback....

    I got mine thew my work(duplicolor metalcast clear red)
    but mine are starting to fade back to amber.I have to respray
    or get someone to make me clears.I tried myself with a cracked assembly i had but it turned out bad!!!
