    Question Wheel Stud Question

i was getting my 88 accord DX inspected today... and they told me 2 of my studs were stripped... they then said to replace the studs would be about 150 bucks... now ive replaced studs on Domestics before... and all i had to do was hammer out the old stud and put in the new one... they mechanic said on my car you have to take off the whole spindle to replace the stud... and that would be about 150 bucks worth of work... is this true? or am i just gettin a buncha horse shit?

Two of my studs were stripped also(on the front), and my mechanic charged only 25$ to replace both of them. From this experience, i would say you're getting screwed.

Always use NEVER-sise on treads on lugnuts to avoid stripped studs.

He may be telling the truth. A torch and welder may be needed to do the job without taking spidles off.
