    1984 Accord Hatchback Noob

Well, I just got my hands on a 5 speed, cruise controlled, '84 Accord hatchback. Its been sitting for about 6 years, the clutch isn't stuck, the brakes are spongey, and all the fluids except the oil are gone. I haven't turned the motor over yet, I plan on doing that tomorrow, but the main problem I have right now is I have no key. I had to do the jiggle trick with a spare Honda key I had to get the doors open. Is there any way I could drop the tumblers in the switch? I need to move it, and the steering wheel is locked.. I hope some of you guys can help me, if you could tell me anything to check, things that might have gone bad, things that I need to replace, etc, I would very appreciate it. Thanks!

Here is a picture of it, in the corner on the right, yeah, its not much, but its something!

Well, I don't know what to tell you about that lock cylinder. I know it's a bitch to get off, because it's got those 1 time use security bolts in it that don't have a head in them. So you gotta drill off the heads, or weld a nut onto them to spin them out. Then once you've got the cylinder off, I would think you could take it to a locksmith and have him re-do it to work with that spare key you have. Once you've got the ignition switch off though, you should be able to turn the wheel and move the car...

Welcome! Like 2ndGenGuy was saying, disassembling the steering column is your best bet. Just curious though, why did you choose this car and not something that's been driven more regularly?
