what is the best? Hmmm, it all depends on what you want more bass or more clear sound.
yes, you can mount 6x9 in the back. some accords came with 6x9 decks. so look around at junk yards for the mounting plate.

You can get 6x9 pods outa the 89 se-i. If you want more bass go with the 6x9's if you want clear sound go with 6.5"s

I have 6's and 6x9's on my rear deck.. it all depends on what your looking for out of your music... Do you like a lot of bass?? If so then get some 12's like my pioneers for example. If you like treble then buy some tweeters.. I have 2 one inch P.A. tweets. In my doors I have 5 1/2 I believe. So all around I am covered. Highs, mids, lows... but its up to you... If you dont want subs then you should definitly get 6x9's....

Then use 6.5 you'll gett better sound from them especially if your going to be handing off all your lows to the subs.

even if you put 6x9's in the rear for mids and 5 1/4 componets in the doors you would be ok.. that way you would have your highs-mids-lows... that would sound very nice

Actually you might as well put 6.5's in the door because any highs you get out of the speakers down there are really lost when they hit your leg. You need good tweeters aimed right at your ear to get the high highs.

if you get componets then you dont need to worry about the size of the door speakers as much being that you put the 6x9's in the rear... you'll still be getting the proper mids out of them and the tweets will be at hear hight.....

*note* the 5 1/4 inch componet speaker does not have highs thats why they are called components becasue the tweeter is seperate...
