I had slotted dimpled brembo's(not drilled, so cracking isn't a issue) and EBC pads. I got them for $100 for the front pair. They were outstanding, highly recommended by me.

Do drilled, slotted, or dimpled rotors really improve braking over stock? I read somwhere they replaced an S2000 brakes with a Baer setup and it actually increased braking distance. Granted it was an S2000.

Back in the old days, brake pads would give off a lot of gas, so the slotted/drilled rotors gave that gas a place to escape. With newer pads however, they don't give off enough gas to need slotted/drilled rotors. Since rotors need to distribute heat, when you cross drill them (or slot or dimple), they are losing some of their area that could have been used to distribute the heat. Cross drilled also tend to crack under extreme conditions. The main point for cross-drilled/slotted/dimpled rotors now is for looks.
