    camshaft question?

if the valve cover pvc hose is closer to the distibuter does that mean that that the camshaft i pulled from the junk yard is a 88-89 or a 86-87?

    please help.

    OK, HERE IS THE ANSWER.
on carbed engines the valve cover breather hose is on the right side, closer to timming gear and belts.
on EFI the hose is closer to distributor.
Year has nothing to do with it.

I answered the PM but I'll post it here anyways for reference. If you are talking about the part the PCV plugs into the manifold, the 86-87 EFI's are in the middle (by runner #3 I think) and the 88/89 EFI are on the side (closer to the distributor, #4 runner). Carbed shoud be all the same.
