i just bought the car a 89 accord lx i, when i hit the brakes the front end shakes and the steering wheel does also.this is my first front wheel drive so im not sure what to look for. i can work on cars so im not totaly lost. what could/can this be/ please help thanks......
It sounds like your rotors. Check your pads first, and if their ok then have your rotors checked. If they are grooved, then just replace them. They are cheap.

Your rotors are warped.
Do like Nate says. It's cheap enough to get the rotors replaced instead of machining it. And do both sides.
