With a little more cutting and buffing, it will look like a shop did it. Excellent work on masking off. I can't see overspray anywhere. No runs or other BS. Next time, just shave the door mouldings entirely though. The bits still hanging on detract from the great work you did. Consider getting a paintless dent puller and getting handy with the Bondo and you'll be able to open a shop before you know it.

Just make sure you always wear a good (expensive) respirator when you do paint work. Don't use the crappy disposable dust masks when you sand. They are useless. Paint is incredibly toxic and you have to take every precaution or you'll wreck your health and not be able to do anything. I have a 3M 7500 series mask that I use almost daily. For any kind of dust work (sanding, sawing, demolition, mold exposure), I use the P100 round, pink dust cartridges on it. Paints and petrochemical solvents, pesticides, etc. get an Organic Vapor cartridge. Pet odors and rotting things get an Acid Gas cartridge. Anything I'm not sure about gets a Multi-Gas cartridge (combination of Organic Vapor and Acid Gas) with the integrated P100 dust screen. Do your research and understand the different kinds of exposures and the right cartridge for each.

Seriously, use a respirator for any kind of toxic exposure. I use a respirator when I clean my house with regular cleaning solutions. Health is too easily lost and too hard to get back. My dad and uncle were waaaay too macho to use respirators when they were younger. Dad died young after years living in the most deplorable health with frequent hospital stays and tons of meds. Uncle is heading out in the same way too. It's not worth it just to be cool and not use a respirator.

Back on topic, that's an excellent paint job!
yup me and my summer job boss painted it . each did a side. both came out just as good...and neither of us have painted a car with a paint gun before! . we both painted houses all summer though. the doors were shaved by the previous owner and did a shody job at it..as well as some other bondo body spots they did..both front fenders were replaced so of course they were not shaved . i was planing to poke the holes back out on the doors and install trim again but never got around to getting the passenger side trim.. i know i could of done the body work better but this was a HAY LETS SEE IF WE CAN PAINT A CAR spurr of the moment type of thing lol...

i wore a $45 3m respirator . i dont know the model number but it does have the pink cartidges on it . my summer boss picked it out for me when we were painting houses so im pretty sure it is a good!

thanks though i too think it turned out great!! and as i stated it was only $40 to paint it. and it helped the car sale quick! no one in the right mind would of bought it for my asking price when it was 30 different colours
