Far out. So that's what it's called ? Nice one !
I have actually had a photoshoot behind the building. It's quite an interesting place with some great modern architecture (high-rise sort of stuff). It's hard to find that in Adelaide, let alone somewhere you can photograph. Here's a few pics.

I suppose I'll have to go back there and try to shoot in the front. Although we'll see if I want to take the risk. There are only parks for taxis there and being in a modified car the police will take one look at me and try to get it off the road.

It's not my discretion unfortunately. The Project Central requires a Foundation membership, or at least that's my recollection. There was some discussion about it, so maybe I'm wrong. I'll see if I can find that thread again.

...or one of the other mods can do me a solid here and refresh my memory?

Glad I asked. Great cars. Great interview. And a beautifully race-prepped Z-car as a bonus. Thanks!

Thanks a lot man. It was my first, I was really excited and I think it went well. You wouldn't believe but he was car sitting at the time too. In the garage next to the Z was another Hakosuka !! This time in red. I was in awe. hahaha. He asked me not to say anything in the interview about it though. :P So I had to keep quiet.

Had this sent to me tonight by one of the boys. I had literally never heard of or seen this before. Very race car.
(The tape is obviously for trial fits)

If you don't know what you're looking at it's the stainless steel cooling pipes. From what I've been told (someone please correct me if I butcher this) but their only benefit is that they never wear out, can never split or crack and never need replacing. They're very good at maintaining heat so the temperature compared to rubber is somewhat the same. The reason you can run this on the engine we've built as opposed to something else is due to the engine mounts being loaded with urethane. The stiffness means the engine won't sway or move too much which (if you had rubber engine mounts) could potentially crack the radiator mounts.

The welds will rust so it'll end up getting a lick of paint.

    Until next time. Peace

    Thanks tof !

Shot down there today as I finally got those stickers done. I got a good price, but for some reason he sent me 9. So if you guys want one I can send anywhere in the world for $10usd shipped. Here's a picture of how they turned out. I'm really fucking happy. Took me like 5 hours to mock up off a really shitty picture I had from ages ago. But I'd dare say they're near perfect. An exact replica. I'm going to find an English version in a wreck yard and stick it to the underside for translation purposes.

In terms of the build it's actually a bit slow. Things have just come up in everyone's life. But we're at the tail end of it now so I don't mind too much. If the engine still wasn't in I'd be worried. Besides, I'm still unemployed so the longer it's down there the longer I have to find some money to make it something even more special. I'd love to see it dumped on it's ass when it leaves.

The guys found an old Integra lip (I believe) and put it on the front bumper. If you guys remember I didn't even have a lip which made the front sit stupidly high. It's nice, although in terms of colour I would have preferred it to match the trim just above it.

It doesn't bother me too much. I plan on swapping this bumper out for the Series 1 when the money is available anyway.

    Peace.

I've been lurking through this thread for 6+ months, and I have to say, it's an inspiration! I mean, literally! I just bought my twin DCOE 45s and I'll be picking my B18B1 this weekend. Keep posting man, this thing is the coolest!

Haha thanks man ! It has been a bit quiet, but I've been mostly waiting for the guys at the shop. They've undergone some pretty serious work at the moment and are at the tail end of moving shop. But we've ordered the coilovers so it should only be a matter of weeks before we get cracking back into it. We were told by KSport Australia that the coilovers are the first CA KSport coilovers the company has ever shipped in - so they are very special. They'll be the only ones in Australia for the CA platform. The Aerodeck just got rarer again.

As for the swap we're doing, I'm literally just waiting on them now. We're going to be making a few changes too - for example braided fuel lines and a few other bits I'll make sure I update on. All very exciting, we're aiming for end of February.

Project Aerodeck is back. Couldn't stick around long yesterday but grabbed a few snaps of it getting cleaned before rolling into the shop and then Jake sent me the engine shot. Looking so good.
The roof and bonnet are so faded that the water makes it look like it has a clear coat. I need to get a cheap closed door somewhere after we've got the engine running.
I'm heading back down later today so expect more updates.

P.S. Coilovers are inbound, only a few weeks out. Soon it'll have a nice drop it so desperately needs.

Gonna need new seats and a new steering wheel when we get it all back together. Maybe some era specific Recaros and a Personal wheel or something.

Going back Monday, more updates then

Car is still in the shop. The bloke doing the swap for me has had some personal things come up which has meant either I get in when he's not around or he doesn't go in on the day I'm down. It's been confusing, and annoying, but I won't get into it. All was forgiven when I got this sent to me today

K fucking sport sent the wrong coilovers again

How the fuck do you fuck up an order twice, after receiving every single dimension + pictures of the OEM shocks.

The front are at the lowest setting they'll go - still taller than the stock shocks! The top locator threads are also spaced incorrectly and don't fit in the shock tower.

And on the rears, again they are super long even though they are in the shortest setting possible, they've also sent us a eyelet bottom mount instead of the fork.
