    Very Low Idle

A weird thing happened this weekend. My car seems to idle really low. The reason I thought this was weird was that when I went to take off in 1st, the lights brightened up and it seemed like in the low idle the alternator was having a hard time keeping up (lights dimmed). Anyone have simular problems before? Just wondering if it could be a bad alternator or a different problem. Possibly just an adjustment with the idle?
    Thanks
    Cameron

it is just that your alternator doesn't keep up for electrical needs at idle. i have the samething.
it is not a big problem.

I am not sure of the exact idle speed, I 'll have to remember to check next time, also when this low idle occures the car kinda has a shaking feeling. It's not real rough, just enough to bug me. I am wondering about the alternator, I do have an amp pulling 500 watts, and another pulling 200watts (Simulitaniously) so I am not sure. Do you think the idle screw needs to be adjusted possibly?

Wouldn't hurt to try. Might also want to try cleaning the throttle plate
