    problem with upper ball joint

ok not sure if its the ball joint or control arm, or in they are the same, but the thingy above the tire on the passenger side the boot is ripped an when im driving at like 20 to 30 and turn the wheel back and forth i can hear it clicking, how long can i go with this till i need to change it. i need it to wait till atleast April before i will be able to get it replaced. is it safe for that long since it just now started clicking. Also should i drive easiyer now and not corner hard and high speed driving till i get this fixed?

thanx and i hope it holds out till april and doesnt brake off while going highway speeds that would hurt and suck really bad

Do it yourself. It's the passenger side, so it's easier than the driver side. The part should be around $70 for one side I just searched autozone.com. I'm don't know if you want aftermarket or OEM. Looking at it, labor should be 0.5-1 hour. So shop would probably charge $150 (not sure, just my estimate).
If you want to go the prelude upper arm route, then new ball joints are $70 for BOTH sides. But you have to get the upper arm though.
