problem is is that if you want to start your car without keys the "key" has to be turned to on all the time. That could drain your battery if you have a number of things "on" in your car. Then you'd have the button to turn the key to start. What I guess would work is to have a keyless remote to turn on and off the "on" wire. Then have a button to start the car. try figuring out what wire does what, and tell us what you come up with.

look under the dash. i haven't looked so i don't know if we have a plastic cover over the wires or not. if there is one u have to cut through it. then find 2 red wires, or 2 that are the same color. the rest is history. (caution: as i have never tried this, i have heard it this way and seen it on websites this way. wait for someone to confirm this b4 trying it unless u don't care)

LOL! Lit up my dash, powered the main relay, etc. Sunday by accident! Was looking at the fan timer relay connecter and musta shorted a constant hot to the Ign1 or ign.2 wires, don't which one, don't care. Started it with key, took key out still running, so look at this diagram and u will see how it happened, the wht/yel shorted one o the blk/yel wires.Timer diagram

Here. This should help. I bought a Bulldog Starter online for like $26, took about 3 hours or so to install, but now I know what I'm doing. Anyways, I'd say just buy a fuckin remote start...lol, but this chart might help.

if somebody try to hotwire a car.. wouldn't the steering wheel would still be locked? the way i know on how to protect your car is to have an alarm with ignition kill. once the alarm goes off then theres no way to start the car unless its a standard.

unlocking the steering wheel is easy, you just need a little strength. you just have to crank it till it breaks. then you have a working steering wheel.

I dont know as far as hot wiring but for hondas they use a dent puller to rip the ignition out and that takes car of the steering lock and then they use a screw driver. This is how they tried to steal my other accord. I almost positive who ever said the 2 red wires or 2 of the same is wrong because that is not correct as there are not 2 of the same colors used on the ignition. The ignition harness plugs in under the dash and all you would need is to look at the points at which color goes to the 2nd and third position. And i dont think the steering lock will break that easy as said they look to be a pretty good design and it would take a lot of force to break it.

i tried to break my steering before. me and my bro tried but couldn't. so i dont know how you got it. and if you could break the steering wheel... there is no need to use a dent puller or hot wiring.. its pretty simple if who ever knows what im talking about.. later

take the steering covers off....1 screw holds the ignition in the barrel then you can use a screwdriver or whatever to start it.....with small vise grips or small cold chisel and hammer you can remove ignition barrel from steering wheel
