Well I don't think anyone here has done it yet because of the difficulty involved compared to a b-series swap, but I have thought about it a lot and would love to be one of the first. If you wanna do it too maybe we can help each other through it!![]()

The H22 has been done for a long time i have had those pics for like 2 years or so. The only thing i know is that the guy is from canada and i think he is a member but doesnt come on to often...Is the second pic wickedaccord's car? looks nice
If its been done repeatedly then why does everyone always act like its near impossible or something? seems like every time I see someone post about doing an h22 swap ppl are all over it telling them not to and to do a b18 or b20 instead. At least some ppl have the balls to tackle a cool project like this and follow through. I hope to get a manufacturing house to start making mounts since as far as I know no one does yet for an h22 in a 3g accord.
Do any h22'ers have specs for the mounts or a how-to somewhere?

is the second one even an h22???
The guy that did that had to do some major work it was NOT a bolt in deal. That is why it is so hard and i like the H22 and would be great in out car but to be honest working on my friends prelude is a pain in the ass. The second pic is a B18C1 if its wickedaccord's car. Its not impossible but requires a lot more work and you have to do a Hydrolic conversion to add to the mess.
.......or get a B16A cable tranny. You may not get the good gearing for a b18, but it would save you some headaches. Oh, and that seconc picture? It's turbo'ed. I've got pics of the build up, some place.Originally posted by RobT5580

MoonScryer1, Whos car is the second car? I wouldnt mind seeing the other pics.
it looks like a b16 in the second one
Second one is DEFINITELY NOT an H22A. It is a turbo B18C5 and it is a 3g Sedan. It was carbed, but he converted to efi ,and he is also located in Canada.

I was wondering why he had the intake in that position but i thought it was Wickedaccords so didnt even think of a turbo being on it. Damn a lot more swaps are showing up every day. I wish i did mine when the mounts first came out and when i had the money to play with. Cant wait to do my swap and it should be on the road in the spring again....

Eh, wow. ancient thread come back. Yeah, I think that is a b16, but I think it was a b18c, I got some other pictures of the midway build up of that car, somewhere...

Yeah. A lot of people swap on a single stage mani cause they make more peak power. The dual stage from the GSR helps with the mid range but is more restrictive on the top end.Originally Posted by Busted_Blue

What is the best out of a B16b(type R), B18b, B18C(GSR), B18C(Type R), or B20B. And which one is easier to put in and how much horsepower does it have.
